Photography Collection Book
This project was to create a book (or magazine) for the Henry Art Gallery's photography collection. I chose to create a color coded book where each color represented the type of photograph that was being displayed. The 6 colored squares under the title on the cover represent each color coded chapter (pictured above).I chose to bind the book with a coptic style binding in order to separate each chapter into it’s own section (signature). This was done to create an easy color coded viewing system. One could easily skip to the chapter with the type of photography they were most interested in looking through.
On each chapter's cover the 6 squares repeat, the square with the color of the chapter turns black (ex. Albumen & Digital Imaging). Spreads included a timeline that showed where in each chapter the photograph lived.
