Coffee Description Cards

ELM Coffee Roasters needed copy-modifiable templates to make coffee info cards. They would be sending these to customers when they order coffee online, have a subscription, or order coffee as a gift. The cards would also be on display in their retail shops to highlight one or two coffees they are currently brewing.

The creative brief asked that the cards look good beside the bags of beans/label, as well as fit the look of both Seattle cafes - they asked for something: Sophisticated. Simple. Inviting. They hoped the cards would help make each bag feel like a special thing, not just a utilitarian purchase.

Each card was designed to have a unique collage on the front that was created to feel more like a little piece of art you get to keep, than simply a description card for the coffee. A small portion of the collage was carried onto the back.

ELM wanted some A-frame signs designed to help people find and enter their cafes—lead people to COFFEE! They wanted them to be simple yet fun, and really speak to the design aesthetic of their coffee shops. The signs were meant to help people navigate to their shops even through all the construction in downtown Seattle. The signs needed to make it clear that they serve both coffee, tea, and more.
